Placing the louvre
The louvres are easy to place on a face. Position can easily be adjusted using the Move and Align function. The height of the grids can also be set using the Elevation Parameter in the Properties window.
With the DUCO PROJECTS louvre we distinguish four possible placement types, defined in RSen_C_placement_index :
- 0 = recessed mounted wall louvre
- 1 = architectural window louvre
- 2 = surface mounted wall louvre
- 3 = recessed without flange mounted wall louvre

recessed mounted wall louvre | architectural window louvre |
surface mounted wall louvre | recessed without flange mounted wall louvre |
When you decide whether it is intended for air supply or for air extraction, please choose instance parameters “WT_V Supply air” or “WT_V Exhaust air” in the Properties window. Depending on this choice, the flow arrow and the calculation of the flow rate will change.

Dimensions of the grill
- Set your basic values for the grill, by using following parameters (grouped under "Dimensions") in properties of the type
- If parameters “RSen_C_width_index” and “RSen_C_height_index” are set on “0” while “RSen_C_diameter_index” > 0, then louvre will inherit round shape
- On the other hand if “RSen_C_diameter_index” = 0 and “RSen_C_width_index”, “RSen_C_height_index” > 0 then louvre will inherit rectangular shape
By using parameter “RSen_C_additional_blade” you can add additional blades, default value is equal “1”, but by modifying this value you can add or remove additional blade.
Using the louvre
For all grills there are a numbers of options. Some options can be set for each grill placed separately (instance parameters). Other for each type of grill (type parameter). Not all parameters are available on all grills. These parameters are grouped under "Construction".
Construction
Instance parameters:
RSen_C_alignment_index – allows to change base point of the louvre
- RSen_C_installation_depth_without_flange – in types without specified flange allows to change position of the louvre in the wall
Accessoires
Instance parameters:
RSen_C_water_channel_index
- RSen_C_insect_mesh_index
- RSen_C_dust_filter_index
- RSen_C_backframe_index
The parameters grouped under "Materials and Finishes" allow the louvre to be adjusted to the desired materials or colors.
- RSen_C_material_01: louvre material settings
- RSen_C_material_01: frame material settings
Depending on the Detail Level settings in the view, the grilles might looks different. In “Medium” and “Coarse”, a simplified representation is displayed. In “Fine”, the grill is shown like in reality.
Flow rates
For each louvre type, the flow rate is calculated depending on the width and height , whether the supply or exhaust air and the set pressure drop. The calculated debits are passed to the Space in which the schedule is located.
Height and width (or diameter) are entered in the Parameters grouped under 'Construction'. The pressure drop and calculated flows are found under the group 'Mechanical - Flow'.
Depending on the choose “WT_V Supply air” or “WT_V Exhaust air”, the flow rate will be transmitted in Space to the “Actual Supply Airflow” or “Actual Return Airflow”.
