The Daikin ‘Mirror’ command is a functional and greatly improved version of the native Revit ‘Mirror’ command.

You can find this command at the default Daikin tab and in the Contextual ribbon of Daikin (see article about contextual Ribbon) and has following icon.

Unlike the native command, there is no geometric mirror of the objects. For example a left hand connection remains a left hand connection after performing the Daikin ‘Mirror’ command.

Moreover, the ‘Tags’ of the objects are also copied and the Daikin ‘Mirror’ command takes a certain offset into account for finding a host. Natively, the mirrored objects are being hosted only if the host is exactly on the mirrored location. The Daikin ‘Mirror’ command on the other hand finds the most suited host within a certain offset (± 50cm).

Finally, the correct ‘alignment‘ of the ‘Daikin’ objects are also taken into account (see also article Alignment).

Below you can see an example of the native Revit ‘Mirror’ which is an actual reflection of the object.

For comparison, below you can see an example of Daikin ‘Mirror’.

A reflection of the location of the object. No literal reflection.

Another example of the Daikin ‘Mirror’.

The Alignment is also taken into account.
