SOg is a ThorbiQ terminology that stands for Specific Object Geometry.

Showing the SOg of for example a Jaga element will add extra detail to the element  which makes the project more realistic.

Eg. Normal Jaga element (without SOg):

Same elements where the SOg’s are Loaded and visible:

You can find the Show/hide SOg buttons on the every manufacturer Ribbon which has SOg elements (see image below)

Or you can also Show and Hide The SOg’s at the ThorbiQ panel at the Add-inn tab

(ThorbiQ panel on the Add-inns - tab)

You can also Show and Hide the SOg on the contextual ribbon of ThorbiQ (see previous article

Press the “Show SOg” button on one of those panels to turn on the SOg. When you have one or more elements in selection, the SOg's of the selected elements are shown. If you don’t have any elements in selection, the SOg’s of all elements in the current project are shown.

Press on Hide SOg to turn off the SOg of the selected elements. If you don’t have any elements in selection, the SOg’s of every element in the current project is hidden.

In order to show the SOg extra elements are downloaded and loaded into your project and the functionality of the original element is kept (for example you can still connect the connectors, change the properties of the elements,...). Showing the SOg will increase the size of your project. With the ‘Purge SOg’ button on the manufacturer's ribbon it is possible however to automatically remove all unused SOg elements. It’s important to notice that only the unused (invisible) SOg elements will be removed. Probably you first have to Hide all SOg’s and afterwards execute the “Purge SOg” function.

Note:

  • At the moment the SOg’s functions are only applicable for Daikin, Jaga, Grada and Tolemail elements in your project.

  • The SOg elements are only visible when your current view is in a Detail level Fine. Read following link to change the Detail level of your current view
