The contextual ribbon is an extra panel in the default Revit contextual Ribbon that becomes visible when you have elements of that particular manufacturer in selection (The image below is with a Jaga element).  If the selection also contains other elements, the contextual ribbon is not visible. The contextual ribbon provides the user quick access to useful manufacturer-specific tools. When you hide a certain Suite Tab (see previous article), the contextual ribbon will not be visible either.

Next to the manufacturer specific contextual ribbon there is also a ThorbiQ contextual panel. This panel is visible when there are one or more ThorbiQ elements in selection. At the moment the ThorbiQ contextual panel contains two function, “Show SOg” and “Hide SOg”. Read the following article to know what those functions do.

Note:

  • Not every manufacturer has a contextual ribbon.
  • It is not possible to turn off the ThorbiQ contextual panel.
